As we all deal with the consequences of the COVID 19 outbreak, we count on our Kehillah (synagogue community) for comfort, strength and support.
We want to reach out and check in with every member of the HEA community. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP. Over the coming days the plan is for phone trees to be grown and phone calls to be made to see what support we can be for each other. Click here , and fill out the short questionnaire, checking the button: “I can make phone calls, then click “submit” at the bottom of the survey. We are looking for 50-60 volunteers. Can we count you in?
We hope that you can find comfort and support through our community. We will also be here (virtually) with arms wide open if you need additional support. Somehow although we are all very far apart in this moment, there is comfort in knowing that we are in it together, and will come out on the other side together. This survey will help our staff, lay leaders and volunteers pull together in order to reach out. Thank you for helping us. As of now our building will remain closed until March 27th, with the possibility of an extension being announced. Look for more information coming soon regarding worship and programming. On a more personal note, I just want to say how deeply I feel for this community which has helped me raise my children, given me a spiritual home, my most beloved friends and meaningful work. I am thinking of each and every one of you, and myself along with the clergy and staff, are sending all of our love during this time of social distancing. I look forward to sharing Kiddush lunch and a hug with you all as soon as possible.
