Instructions for being included in the random lottery for Shabbat morning worship attendance

Deadline for signing up to be in the lottery is Thursday at 4:00 p.m. No names will be added after the deadline. The congregants whose names are pulled out of the hat for attending this Shabbat will be notified Friday by 2:00 p.m. If you are not picked for the lottery this week, you will get preference for the lottery draw for next week.

Please note that signing up to be in the lottery is available only to HEA members.  We are not able to welcome guests or walk-ins at this time.

To participate in the lottery, email Laura Intfen at laura@headenver.org or call the office at (303) 758-4000 by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday with your name and the names of the people who live in your home that will be coming with you on Shabbat. Due to space limitations, you may not include in your lottery entry children, parents, and others that do not physically live in your home. Because there will be no access to the playground, cry room, or other communal areas usually open to children, attendance at worship will be restricted for families with children who can sit through the entire service.

By submitting your name to the lottery you agree to the protocols listed below:

  • Masks will be worn at all times in the building
  • A distancing requirement of 6 feet between people not in your household will be enforced at all times, including entering and exiting the building
  • Occupancy in the elevator and restrooms is limited to 2 people at a time.
  • Be aware of and follow all directional signage on the floor of the hallways and in the elevator.
  • Truthfully answer all health screening questions regarding COVID symptoms
  • Practice personal hygiene by making use of hand sanitizer stations that will be placed around the building and hand washing.
  • Seating in the sanctuary will be assigned. If you would like your seat moved, please check in with a staff member or usher.
  • After services, participants will leave the building and parking areas and not linger. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a Kiddush lunch at this time.
