Dan Yolles

Dan Yolles, Student Rabbi

Dan Yolles grew up in Denver with deep roots in Jewish community and an equally powerful passion for music. A lifelong musician, Dan is well-versed in a wide spectrum of musical styles and instruments, including guitar, oud, clarinet, and more, and is an accomplished touring electronic musician/producer. His artistic background deeply shapes his Jewish lens, blending tradition, innovation, mysticism, Jewish pride, and artistry. After serving in meaningful educational and spiritual roles at Temple Sinai, growing to become their Cantorial Soloist, Dan entered rabbinical school, first with the ALEPH Ordination Program and now at the Academy for Jewish Religion (AJR) in New York, where he is currently pursuing his ordination and a master’s degree in Jewish Studies. Upon entering Rabbinical School, Dan most recently served at Judaism Your Way as their Educator, Music Director, and Student Rabbi. He has also worked for a number of other congregations and Jewish organizations, including JCC Ranch Camp and Aspen Jewish Congregation. His journey ultimately led him to the Hebrew Educational Alliance, where he brings his love of Torah, spiritual exploration, and community-building. Dan studied music education at Colorado State University and finished his undergraduate degree at CU Denver with a bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Resources.

Outside of work, he is an avid music enthusiast, a golfer, and loves hiking, camping, and spending time in Colorado’s natural beauty. His greatest joy comes from his family: his wife Ali, their son Shai, and his two dogs, Cooper and Nova. He is looking forward to the arrival of their baby girl, April. Whether teaching a class, crafting spiritual and intentional experiences, studying rabbinics, or helping youth and families feel connected and seen, Dan seeks to create Jewish spaces that are deep, meaningful, accessible, musical, and alive.
