Interfaith Panel: Prophets, Power, and the Public Square: Faith in a Polarized Age

When

Thu, February 12, 2026
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Event Type

In a moment of deep political polarization and declining trust in institutions, faith communities are once again being asked to speak—or to stay silent. Drawing on diverse religious traditions, this interfaith panel explores how faith can offer moral clarity in public life without becoming captive to political power or partisan agendas. Panelists will reflect on the tension between prophetic witness and institutional responsibility, the risks of co-option by ideology, and the possibilities for faithful engagement in a divided society. Rather than debating policies or parties, this conversation asks a deeper question: what does it mean to speak—and act—faithfully in the public square today?

Panel starts at 7:00 p.m. Snacks will be provided at 6:30 p.m. at Hebrew Education Alliance
