Pathways Campaign

Behind every program from Shai Davidai to High Holidays services to Tot Shabbat are a team of hardworking staff and security members, a building to operate, supplies and food to purchase, and numerous other expenses. This year, we invite you to actively engage in the meaningful programs at HEA to enrich your life. And we ask you to invest in our vibrant congregation with a meaningful gift to the Pathways Campaign to support our staff, operating expenses, scholarships, and amazing programs.
What you may not know is that membership dues only cover 70% of our operating expenses. The rest is based on your generosity to build a bright future at HEA together.
We are excited to announce that the 2024 Pathways Campaign has launched. All donations received by December 31, 2024 will be DOUBLED by a generous group of families in our community. Moreover, donations may be eligible for the Colorado Childcare Tax Credit.
Whether you are one of the 90 families who have joined HEA since May, or we’ve had the honor of having your family be a part of our congregation for 90 years, we hope you’ll participate in this important annual campaign. We are so thankful you have chosen to make HEA your home.
Your Donation and Its Tax Advantages
The Colorado Child Care Contribution Credit, commonly referred to as the 5C tax credit, was established to encourage greater private support of Colorado child care programs, like those provided by HEA. Since your monetary contribution to HEA qualifies for this tax credit, you can decrease the after-tax cost of your gifts by more than 50 percent. The effect of the credit is that half of your donation to HEA qualifies for the tax care credit – as long as it is designated to the Pathways Campaign - with the donor receiving 25% of the donation in the form of a Colorado tax Credit. You can still claim your full contribution as a charitable deduction on your Federal and State income tax returns if you itemize deductions. Please consult with your tax adviser to determine exactly how the credit will affect you.
