A Message from HEA Clergy and Leadership:
Tragedy in Colorado Springs
Dear HEA member,
We are shocked and saddened by the tragedy that occurred on Saturday night in Colorado Springs, in which five people were killed and 25 injured in a mass shooting at Club Q, an LGBTQ nightclub. Our hearts and prayers extend to all the victims and their families at this difficult time.
The clergy and leadership team at HEA is working in partnership with JEWISHColorado, the Jewish Community Relations Council, the Anti-Defamation League, and Rocky Mountain Rabbis and Cantors to provide support and resources to help those grieving, and to bring our community together at this painful time.
An interfaith vigil will be taking place tonight at 7:00 p.m. in memory of those killed and in prayer for healing at ReelWorks Denver, 1399 35th St, Denver, 80205. As of now, we do not have livestreaming information, so check the JEWISHcolorado website later today.
May God comfort the mourners and bind up the wounds of the survivors.
If you need assistance or would like support at this time, please reach out to Rabbi Shulman at rabbishulman@HEAdenver.org.
