Confirmation —
Confirmation has been part of the HEA tradition for many years. Our 10th-grade students follow in the footsteps of multiple generations as they explore another step on their Jewish learning ladder. Confirmation is not the end of Jewish education. Instead, it is an affirmation that they will continue their Jewish education.
The 5785 10th Grade Confirmation Cohort will will be taught by Rabbi Shulman. They will meet under the theme of Confirmation, the Next Step in Your Jewish Journey. The 7 sessions will have a variety of topics related to Jewish Ethics, Mentorship, Comparative Religions, and Comparative Jewish Denominations. They are comprised of guided discussions mixed with Torah study to enrich the learning process. We are currently planning a trip to DC for November, but as we discussed, we are open to rescheduling the trip to be in Spring 2025 instead. Our Confirmation Ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 9, 2025 with a Shabbat Dinner celebration.
