The Great Tu B'Shevat Chopped (Zoom) Challenge

What culinary creations will you, your kids, your friends or your entire family bring to the challenge?

Prepare and present a dish at the Challenge. Cooks of all ages are welcome! It can be a cake, kugel, cookies, casserole, salad or side dish and in keeping with the holiday spirit. We will learn interesting facts about Tu B’shevat and share our favorite food-related Jewish holiday stories. 

HOW TO ENTER THE CHALLENGE:  Register below. Please include how you would like to be acknowledged (by individual name(s), by family name or by team name) at the event in the registration notes. 

ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED ON:
     How many of the seven Israeli food species (Shivat Haminim*) are included 
     Culinary creativity and 
     Overall presentation (you may include a holiday-themed Zoom background, posters, placemats, etc.)  

Feel free to join in the fun even if you are not entering the challenge! Everyone gets to vote on their favorite dish and every vote counts!


*Shivat Haminim are listed in the Bible as being special agricultural products of the Land of Israel. Each agricultural product is also associated with...

  • Wheat
  • Barley
