The HEA celebrates its strength through the support of our members. Below are some programs and groups that we welcome your help to become involved in. Please check those that you’d be interested in participating in.
Volunteer Opportunities
Hanukkah/Purim Planning committee. Help plan the theme and activities for these fun celebratory events. Hanukkah Event will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Purim Carnival will take place on Sunday, March 24, 2024.
Hesed Committee. This group is supported by the HEA Sisterhood, helping to call our senior members each week to wish them a Shabbat Shalom and on Holidays. They also help prepare and deliver food for members who may be recovering from medical procedures o
Greeter/Safety Team. This is an important part of our synagogue operations to greet congregants at weekly Shabbat / Holiday Services, events, and programs. They also help to keep a watchful eye to maintain a warm, welcoming, and safe environment.
Youth-Education Committee. Work with our Education and Youth Department, the groups help organize family programs such as Tot Shabbat, Shabbat Along/Shabbat in the Park, New Baby Shabbat, Blox & Bagels, and Family Education.
Yom HaShoah Committee. This program plans our annual service to educate all generations as well as honor the memory of the Six Million lost to the Holocaust. The Yom HaShoah Service will be held on May 5 & 6, 2024.
