We mourn the passing of Judith Lista, beloved wife of Jerry Lista, z”l. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Dave Torres) Lista, grandchildren, Logan, Dylan and Cody, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Judy and her immediate family escaped Danzig, Germany, prior to the Nazi Occupation and Kristellnacht. Judy attended school in Israel and served as a member of the Israeli Haganah Underground Army prior to Israel becoming a state. She was a fashion designer and art instructor at ORT Institute in Israel. After her move to the United States, Judy worked at J.C. Penney’s as a sales associate for 15 years. Judy enjoyed reading, painting and spending time with family and friends. A graveside service honoring Judy will be held Tuesday, August 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Golden Hill Cemetery. Th service will be livestreamed via Feldman Mortuary's YouTube channel. The family will be observing Shiva privately.
In lieu of flowers, Judy's family requests contributions be made to IsraAID, an organization providing support for displaced communities in Israel.
