Healing Arts Kits

Since October 7, more than 250,000 Israelis have been displaced from their homes. Currently over 68,500 Israelis living in Northern Israel have not been able to return to their homes, including 17,500 school-age children.

So far, 8,000 Healing Arts kits have been delivered throughout Israel, and thousands more are needed to help even more children during this difficult time. The HEA Sisterhood, in partnership with Artists 4 Israel, will be launching a campaign to provide 100 Healing Arts Kits for 400 children in Israel. Each Kit includes over 30 therapeutic toys, tools, and activity books for children, parents, teachers, and therapists to engage in coping techniques.

Artists 4 Israel, a nonprofit, helps communities affected by terrorism and hate through various art projects. Currently, they are providing Healing Arts Kits designed by mental health professionals for children in Israel to help offset the effects of PTSD. The cost of each kit is $65. We are asking you to donate $30 for each kit, and the HEA Sisterhood covers the remaining balance of $35.

Later, on Sunday, December 15th, at the HEA Chanukah Boutique, we will have a special Tzedakah Station set up for everyone to help put together the Healing Arts Kits. (you do not need to attend the boutique, but all are welcome). This is a wonderful opportunity for our HEA families to help teach empathy and global awareness of Gemilut Hassadim … Deeds of Loving Kindness.
