Sexual Harassment

HEA has a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. We want to make sure that all of our congregants, students, staff, faculty, clergy, board of directors, visitors and contractors have an environment free from sexual harassment. This policy is in force in our buildings and wherever HEA-sponsored events take place. We are taking every measure possible to protect you from incidents of sexual harassment. Staff, faculty, clergy and board members are now required to attend a formal sexual harassment training session every year. We want you to know procedures are in place to support you and quickly respond to any incidents that may occur.

HEA will quickly and effectively investigate any allegations of sexual harassment. We have incorporated best practices to respond to incidents and coordinate with local law enforcement for sexual harassment incidents, as required. You can report sexual harassment to any staff, faculty, clergy, or board member who will contact the appropriate people according to our policies and procedures.

We look forward to working together as a community to create a safe environment free from sexual harassment for anyone and everyone who is in our buildings and participates in our events regardless of location. To learn more and read HEA’s sexual harassment policy and Standard Operating Procedure, we have made them available on this page. We invite you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding our new policy on sexual harassment at HEA.
