Taking an aliyah at the Torah service is a wonderful way to honor a loved one's yahrzeit, celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or perform a service for our community. Call the office at (303) 758-9400, or reply to this email, and Joyce will give you an aliyah at an upcoming Shabbat morning service. And if you are a Kohen or a Levi, or if who would like to read Torah at Shabbat services or Morning Minyan, please let us know.

Open Your Heart To Those In Need
Help HEA member Judi Marcus supply much needed hygiene bags for our local homeless community. Please click on the Amazon wish list. You can send the items directly to her home by choosing her address during checkout. If you do, please send her an email. Judy is also collecting whole decks of playing cards to put into this year's holiday bags for the needy. Drop them off in the Tikkun Olam barrel by the door downstairs.

JFS Volunteer Opportunities JFS is looking for volunteers to help support the Resettlement Services program by ensuring that refugees' homes are set up and ready to welcome them upon arrival. Please visit jewishfamilyservice.org/volunteer. The JFS Mobile Food Pantry helps distribute food to families and individuals in neighborhoods with limited access to these resources. This vital program depends on volunteers to help distribute the food, and we need your help! Monthly Jewish War Veterans Breakfast The Jewish War Veterans are pleased to be starting up our monthly meetings again with our free breakfast at 9:00 a.m. and speakers at 10:00 a.m. On Sunday, September 3, the meeting will be at Temple Sinai, and the speaker will be General Robert Enzenauer, USAR, retired. General Enzenauer is a graduate of West Point and was the Assistant Adjutant General for Space and Missile Defense Colorado Army National Guard. He is currently the Chief of Pediatric Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus and will be talking about his experiences in Afghanistan. On October 15, our speaker will be Temple Sinai member Estelle Nadel, who will talk about her experiences as a holocaust survivor. We hope you can join us for these events.
