HEA Israel Mission April 7-14 We invite you to join us for a meaningful mission of consolation connection and service to Israel. The 6-day program will include 3 main components Understanding the reality on the ground from military humanitarian and other perspectives. Joining with local communities and leaders to appreciate their suffering and heroism while volunteering in solidarity with Israelis on the ground. Personal connection and spiritual reflection in preparation for participants to return and share their depth of perspective widely with their home communities.

Shabbat-Along Friday February 23 2024 14 Adar I 5784 430 PM - 630 PM Chapel Lobby Edit Event Info Come join Rabbi Shulman Eitan Kantor and other HEA Families for an uplifting and family-friendly Shabbat evening. We will begin at 430 p.m. with guided play led by an HEA staff member followed by a lively Kabbalat Shabbat service at 500 p.m. Connect with other families over a dinner to please all ages at 545 p.m. Feel free to come when you are able for this interactive Shabbat experience geared toward families with children in 3rd grade and under. ADL Workshop Sunday February 25 2024 16 Adar I 5784 200 PM - 300 PM Edit Event Info Have you ever been shocked by an offhand antisemitic remark from a chatty fellow who sits next to you on an airplane from your hairdresser or a thoughtless family friend And have you been so shocked that you didnt know how to react in the moment Join us at The Worst Cocktail Party Ever an ADL-facilitated workshop at HEA. Learn how to respond better and react to antisemitic remarks and situations. Open to all HEA members ages 18 years and older. Please RSVP today. New Baby Shabbat 2024 Saturday March 2 2024 22 Adar I 5784 1045 AM - 1200 PM HEA Edit Event Info On this very special Shabbat we will welcome our newest HEA members the babies born in 2023-2024 We will invite all families with new babies to get a special blessing and gifts on the bima at the end of Shabbat services and we will honor everyone at Kiddush with a special kiddush lunch and cake Join us for Tot Shabbat before the ceremony at 1045 a.m. The morning will flow as follows 1045 a.m. PJ Library play date 1115 a.m. Tot Shabbat service with Rabbi Shulman Eitan Kantor and guest appearances from the animal kingdom Of course all kiddos of all ages welcome plus their grown ups 1145 a.m. Bima Blessing 12 p.m. Kiddush Lunch

Havdala and Concert with Basya Schechter - A Cozy Kumzits Saturday March 2 2024 22 Adar I 5784 700 PM - 845 PM GYC Edit Event Info Door open at 700 p.m. Musical Havdala at 715 p.m. The concert begins at 730 p.m. Join us for a cozy and uplifting musical experience with Hazzan Basya Schecter. This adult and kid-friendly event is happening upstairs in the Goldberger Youth Center 3599 S Ivanhoe St Denver CO 80237 also known as the GYC. Basya will play some of her original music as well as some soulful Jewish classics. She will be joined by our Music Director Eitan Kantor. Limited parking is available at the GYC if you are able to please park in our main lot across Ivanhoe St. The GYC has an elevator and is wheelchair accessible. Hazzan Basya Schecter is a composer and lead singer of Pharoahs Daughter an American Jewish world music band from New York City. Founded in 1995 by Ms. Schechter Pharoahs Daughters sound draws from American folk Jewish klezmer avant-garde new-age Renaissance electronic and Middle Eastern music. The Doves for Peace Project is an art initiative created by our Religious school and Preschool installation to share HOPE KINDNESS UNDERSTANDING RESPECT SOLIDARITY LOVE for one another and our community.

Operation Benjamin Thursday February 22 2024 13 Adar I 5784 700 PM - 830 PM Chapel Edit Event Info Patriotism Sacrifice And Then a Historic Injustice - Most people dont know that hundreds of Jewish-American GIs killed in action in WWII were mistakenly buried under Latin Crosses. And there they have remained for more than 75 years until now. Operation Benjamin Mission - The mission of Operation Benjamin is to identify Jewish soldiers at American military cemeteries all over the world who were mistakenly buried under Latin Crosses and replace the headstones with a Star of David.
